WRITING DESCRIPTIONS

Saat di kelas saya memilih  judul tentang bagaimana cara menulis deskripsi teks. Saya tidak mencari lagi materinya di internet, karena cara menulis deskriptif teks umumnya ada pada buku pelajaran bahasa inggris. Lalu saya langsung pergi ke perpustakan pusat Undiksha yang berada di kampus tengah. Sampai di sana setelah menaruh tas di loker, saya menuju ke ruang koleksi umum di lantai satu. Saya menggunakan OPAC sebagai alat bantu untuk menemukan buku bahasa inggris dengan tepat dan cepat. Lalu saya mengetikkan judul buku bahasa inggris. Tidak lama keluar kode-kode rak buku, judul buku sekaligus pengarangnya. Saya lalu menuju ke rak 800 yang sudah ditampilkan tadi. Awalnya saya mengecek dari judul buku, lalu jika dianggap sudah pas saya melihat daftar pustakanya. Dan akhirnya saya menemukan buku ini. Setelah itu saya ke pegawai perpustakaan dengan membawa kartu dan langsung meminjamnya.

When I chose the title in class about how to write a text description. I'm not search again the material on the internet, because  the way to write a descriptive text is generally in English textbooks. Then I went  to the Undiksha center library located in the middle of campus. Arrived there after putting the bag in the locker, I went into the general collection on the first floor. I used the OPAC as a tool to find English books accurately and quickly. Then I type in english titles. Not long the codes of bookshelves , book titles as well as the author appeared in screen. The code are 808.042-132. The code 808 showing the bookshelves, code 042 showing the line and code 132 showing the number of book.Then I went to the rack 808, which was shown before. Initially I checked out  the title of the book, and if right, I checked the contents which told about descriptive text. And finally I found this book. After that I went to the librarian with a card and immediately to borrow it.

Untuk mengetahui informasi yang sudah kita pilih di dalam buku, saya pertama-tama melihat daftar isinya. Karena buku ini tidak memiliki index atau kata kunci yang membuat proses pencarian  lebih cepat . Namun karena buku ini tipis, maka informasinya mudah dan cepat saya temukan hanya dengan melihat daftar isinya. Di daftar isi buku ini terdapat 14 bab, salah satu babnya yaitu bab 6 , halaman 41 terdapat informasi tentang bagaimana cara menulis deskriptif teks. Itulah cara bagaimana saya dapat menemukan informasi tentang deskriptif teks di buku ini.

To find out the information that i have chosen in the book,  first I saw the  contents. Because the book didnt have index or key words that make the search process more quickly. But its no probllem because the book is thin and short, so i got  the information easily and quickly just  found  by looking at the list of contents. In the contents of this book are 14 chapters, The information how to write descriptive text in the chapter 6 and page 41. After i read it, the way to write description text is so easy. Just likeike creating a picture using worrd. The key to writting a good description is using spesific details that create exactly the picture you want. When you write a description text you should use words that relate to the sense of sight, sound, touch, smell or taste. These are called the sensory words. Sensory words help the reader imagine what you are discribing. That's the way how I can found this book and the  information on the descriptive text in the book. Thank you very much.
